Vinegar tastes good on your fries (as part of your ketchup or even alone) and a dash of it gives a salad a great flavor. But how else can vinegar serve a purpose other than being a key ingredient of many salad dressings? There are 5 really great purposes that vinegar can make your life a lot easier. Let’s go over those right now, shall we?
1. Kills Unwanted Vegetation
Are you annoyed that you keep seeing unwanted grass growing in places that are not supposed to have any vegetation such as from in between sidewalks? Yeah, that can be problematic and it is not cheap to hire a lawn maintenance professional to keep dealing with the issue either. Therefore, the best thing to do is to kill that grass by pouring white distilled full-strength vinegar onto it and that will take care of the problem! And keep doing it each time you see the unwanted grass growing.
2. Keeps Flowers Fresh
Vinegar may kill unwanted vegetation but it most definitely can help to keep fresh cut flowers stick around for longer. Take a one-quart vase, and add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar, and add it to the water, and that will keep the flowers alive for longer. When the water appears cloudy, then it needs to be replaced and then go and rinse and repeat.
3. Rinse Your Hair To Make It Lively
Are you tired of your hair appearing limp? That is due to the fact that your shampoo is building up even though you are washing it as well as you could off from your hair. Then you can easily make that change and to make it shiny, silky, and moist by using vinegar to rinse it. Take 1 cup of water and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of either white or apple cider vinegar, and rinse your hair. If your hair is dry, then you will want to use only 1 tablespoon of vinegar to do it. But when you see your hair becoming limp, you will want to do this as it will keep your hair lively and shiny.
4. Unclogging Showerheads
If your showerhead is clogged up from the build-up of minerals then you can unclog it by using vinegar. Take a storage bag and then pour 1 cup of vinegar into it. Then take a rubber band and place the showerhead into the bag with the vinegar and tie it so the showerhead is sitting into the bag, and keep it there overnight. It will be unclogged in the morning and you can remove it.
5. A DIY Cleaning Solution
Vinegar is a great addition to when you are making DIY cleaning solutions for anything. It can be used for carpet cleaning, floor cleaning, bathroom tile, and tub cleaning, and most other things in the home. It is a great deodorizer and will remove stains quickly.
