“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” ~Steve Jobs

Intuition is a gift that everyone is born with. However, just like any type of skill, some naturally have it stronger than others. They are the ones that often go into a career that involves the use of intuition such as becoming an astrologer or a life coach of some sort. But anyone is really capable of increasing the power of their intuition, and there are 5 tips to do it.

1. Understand The Difference Between Intuition And Emotion

Emotion causes you to feel and have strong opinions and attachments towards something. Intuition gives you a nudge that does not evoke emotion. It just is there. If you have a ‘strong feeling’ about something but that feeling is a result of you deeply wanting something to happen or not happen, then that is not intuition. That is emotion. If you have a strong feeling about something that you are emotionally detached from and you are saying it with a place of acceptance whether it is ‘good or bad’, then that is intuition.

2. Make Meditation A Daily Habit

The one way to clean up your mind of the clutter that you accumulate in a day is to meditate. This will clear it up and will strengthen your mind, as well as intuition. The more you are free of the clutter that takes up your mind, the more intuitive you will be whether you were born with the skill strongly or not.

3. Quiet Your Mind And Listen To Your Intuition

This is similar to meditation, but not the same. You will want to make a habit of quieting your mind daily and allow the first words that come to you without thinking at all. Write it down on a piece of paper, and keep the paper. Once you fall into a situation that is related to the words that came to your mind, then you will see that your intuition was talking to you.

4. Write Down All Of The Answers You Get Out Of Nowhere

If you are are not purposely quieting your mind but you are all of a sudden getting certain words or feelings coming your way out of the blue, then that is your intuition. Be sure to write down what is coming to you because you will immediately forget it as intuition does not help your memory. Those words and feelings will fade over time.

5. Ask Questions

If you are receiving messages but you are not clear on it, then ask questions to your Higher Self about what you are being shown. You will get a clearer picture of what you are being told.

If you practice these tips on increasing the power of intuition on a daily basis, then you will become a master at it whether you were born with the skill strongly or not.
