“Habits are safer than rules; you don’t have to watch them. And you don’t have to keep them either. They keep you.” ―Frank Hall Crane

So, you’re feeling the urge to improve yourself and to improve your life. That is great. But you are also wondering how you can even do that because you don’t know where to begin. And the idea of making major changes to better yourself is overwhelming. The good news is that there is nothing to be overwhelmed about. You know the saying that Rome was not built in a day, right? Well, that also applies to you becoming a brand new you.

In fact, implementing these five changes each day on a consistent basis will help you get to where you want to get to so you can become the brand new you that you are envisioning.

1. Stick To 3 Priorities A Day

Do you feel that you are frazzled often because you cannot organize yourself and as a result that nothing gets accomplished? And the next thing you know that you are very behind on your bill payments, and you had not had a chance to go grocery shopping so you ended up getting takeout yet again?

The good news is that there are easy ways to manage that issue. Go and stick to 3 priorities that need to get done in a day, and the rest can either wait or be delegated. If you don’t have time to go grocery shopping, then order your groceries online to have them delivered. And by doing that, you will become more organized and have a handle on life.

2. Walk For A Half Hour A Day

You know that getting exercise is important but you don’t do it because you are too tired to go to the gym after a long day at work. You don’t need to go to the gym. Instead, you can get a glider or an elliptical and use it a half-hour a day, and that is good enough to keep you in good health.

3. Make Note Of What You Eat

It is easy to lose track of your food intake and as a result, you will find yourself to not be in the best health. When you track your food intake, you will be more mindful of what you are eating and will keep your health in check. Even if you are not on a weight loss regimen, you still want to track what you eat to maintain as losing track will end up hurting you in the end.

4. Go To Bed Early

It is ideal to get 7 to 8 hours of sleep. And by going to bed early, you will increase your chances of doing that. You will also want to be sure to not consume caffeine after 2 pm and to keep the screen time to a limit after 9 pm.

5. Set Up A Gratitude Journal

Set up a gratitude journal you can use for yourself so you can jot down 3 things that you are thankful for each day. And be sure to add something new each day. You will develop an attitude of gratitude by doing this on a daily basis.

If you are consistent with making these small changes, you will then reap the rewards in the long run of a new you!  What do you think?
