Each day, we provide a series of daily affirmations and reflections designed to help you get that ShineBuzz feeling. We suggest that you read through the affirmations (aloud if possible, in your head if not) and meditate on them for a few moments. You can also choose one or two that speak to you and carry them with you throughout the day. When you’re finished, take a few moments to answer the reflection questions at the bottom in your journal or add them into your meditation, whichever works best for you. I nourish my body and mind.
I make smart choices about what I eat and drink.
I make high-quality whole foods the mainstay of my diet. I eat at least 5 servings of vegetables and fruit each day, along with lean proteins and healthy fats. I minimize my consumption of white flour and sugar.
I learn to read labels. I turn packages over to see the real facts. I check serving sizes and ingredients.
I prepare my own meals as much as possible. Dining in gives me more control over what I eat and serve to my family.
I find ways to save money on my groceries without purchasing empty calories. I enjoy shopping for seasonal produce, compare prices, and buy in bulk.
I avoid emotional eating. I deal with my emotions by thinking them through or chatting with a friend instead of drowning my sorrows in cheesecake. I keep a journal so I can spot my personal triggers.
I drink lots of pure fresh water. Staying hydrated helps me to eat only when I am truly hungry.
I leave room for the occasional treat. By giving up the idea of forbidden foods, I make it easier to practice moderation and avoid going overboard.
Today, I pay attention to what I put on my plate. I love eating what is good for me.
