Each day, we provide a series of daily affirmations and reflections designed to help you get that ShineBuzz feeling. We suggest that you read through the affirmations (aloud if possible, in your head if not) and meditate on them for a few moments. You can also choose one or two that speak to you and carry them with you throughout the day. When you’re finished, take a few moments to answer the reflection questions at the bottom in your journal or add them into your meditation, whichever works best for you. Here are today’s affirmations and reflections.

The love I have for myself is the most important love of all.

When I love myself, I am better able to love and care for others. I am better to myself and the world when I am able to love myself.

I have great respect for myself and my many accomplishments. Self-respect is an important component of happiness and fulfillment.

I treat myself with the respect I deserve. I am worthy of self-respect and enjoy feeling good about myself. I maintain high standards for my behavior and face the world in a way that allows me to sleep peacefully at night.

My friends and family are proud to be part of my life. It is easy for me to show them love and respect because I maintain these qualities for myself as well.

Self-love and self-respect make it possible to have authentic relationships with others. By accepting and loving myself, I am able to give the same gift to others.

Much of my self-respect come from the willingness to accept responsibility for my own life. The respect I feel for myself springs from this place. I am able to avoid worrying about the negative opinions of others, because I am in control of my life and emotions.

Today, I appreciate my unique qualities. I remind myself how wonderful I am and that I deserve love and respect from the world, but most of all from myself.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What are my five greatest qualities? How do these qualities enhance my life and the lives of others?
2. When do I fail to show respect and love to myself? Why?
3. In what ways can I be more respectful and loving to myself?
