Each day, we provide a series of daily affirmations and reflections designed to help you get that ShineBuzz feeling. We suggest that you read through the affirmations (aloud if possible, in your head if not) and meditate on them for a few moments. You can also choose one or two that speak to you and carry them with you throughout the day. When you’re finished, take a few moments to answer the reflection questions at the bottom in your journal or add them into your meditation, whichever works best for you. Leading an active life keeps me fit and strong.
I love to move my body.
I add more steps into my daily routines and climb the stairs rather than riding the elevator or escalator. I pick a parking spot further away from my destination so I can walk the last few yards.
I dance around while I am talking on the phone or waiting for my coffee to brew.
When I am watching TV, I stand up to change the channels instead of using the remote control. During commercial breaks, I get down on the floor and do some push-ups.
I do more chores manually. I rake the leaves instead of using a leaf blower. I take a break from my food processor and use a mortar and pestle to grind cooking ingredients.
I work out on a regular basis. I build my muscles and strengthen my heart. I train for balance and flexibility. I find a variety of activities that I enjoy. I alternate between dancing classes and playing tennis.
If rainy or cold weather prevents me from taking my morning run, I use my treadmill or play an exercise video on my computer.
Today, I honor my body by giving it the exercise that it needs to stay healthy and powerful. Movement is the key to my well being.
