Each day, we provide a series of daily affirmations and reflections designed to help you get that ShineBuzz feeling. We suggest that you read through the affirmations (aloud if possible, in your head if not) and meditate on them for a few moments. You can also choose one or two that speak to you and carry them with you throughout the day. When you’re finished, take a few moments to answer the reflection questions at the bottom in your journal or add them into your meditation, whichever works best for you. Today I focus on my needs.
I practice self-love each day. One of the ways I show love for myself is by making my needs a priority in my life. While others are certainly important, I am important, too.
I am more capable and helpful for those around me when I take care of myself properly.
Self-love is different than selfishness. I avoid taking advantage of others for my own gain. I cherish others, but I also cherish myself. When others are unable to satisfy all of my needs, I take responsibility for fulfilling them myself.
I am free from feelings of guilt when I focus on my needs. Instead, I feel pride and love toward myself.
I love myself enough to ensure that my needs are met. The love I feel toward myself is growing stronger each day. I am my own best friend and treat myself accordingly. This is the most important friendship I have in my life.
There are days when it is in everyone’s best interests that I put my needs first. I am a better partner, parent, and friend when my needs are satisfied.
I might feel selfish for putting myself first, but I realize that it is for the best. Everyone around me benefits when I am happy and satisfied.
Today, I put my needs first. I focus on what I need in order to be my best and be happy.
